Private Album

Last updated : October 31, 2026

This policy explains what data the Private Album app processes, why, and what your rights are.

Who we are

Private Album is published by TheAppsFactory, TheAppsFactory SAS, 24 rue Abel Gance, 84100 Orange, France (RCS Avignon 821 324 332), the data controller. Contact: intergoldex@gmail.com.

Your photos stay on your iPhone

Private Album is made to hide photos. They are stored only on your device, in the app's private space, protected by iOS encryption (unreadable while the iPhone is locked). They are never uploaded to a server, neither ours nor our providers'. We have no access to your photos or to the names of your albums.

No account

The app asks for no sign-up, no name and no email address.

Your passcode and Face ID

Your 4-digit passcode is kept in your iPhone's keychain, on the device. Face ID and Touch ID are handled by iOS: the app only gets a "recognized" or "not recognized" answer, never your face or fingerprint.

Photo library

When you add photos, you pick them in Apple's picker: the app only receives the photos you choose and has no access to the rest of your library.

Usage statistics and crashes

To improve the app, we use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google). They receive technical information (device model, system and app version, language, approximate country) and usage events (for example "album created", "photos added", "unlocked with Face ID"), as well as crash reports. This data never contains your photos, your album names or your passcode, and is not used for advertising (no advertising identifier).

Advertising (free version)

The free version shows Google AdMob ads. In the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a form first asks for your consent; you can change your mind at any time in the app's settings ("Ad privacy"). AdMob may use technical device information and your IP address to show and measure ads. The app does not ask for Apple's tracking permission and does not use the advertising identifier. The full version removes all ads.

In-app purchases

The full version purchase is processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details.

Retention

Your photos and settings stay on your device as long as you keep the app: deleting the app erases them for good. Usage statistics are kept for at most 14 months, crash reports for 90 days.

Children

Private Album is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object and port your data. Write to us at intergoldex@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
