This policy explains what data the Ramadan: Prayer & Quran app processes, why, and what your rights are.

No account
The app asks for no sign-up, no name and no e-mail address.
Your location
Your location is used to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction and to find nearby mosques. The calculation runs on your device: we never receive your location. To show your city's name or search for a city or mosques, the app queries Apple's maps service, which then receives approximate coordinates. You can deny location access and pick a city by hand.
Data we process
- Your settings and reading (place, calculation method, notifications, bookmarks, favorites, notes, fasting log, tasbih): stored on your device and, if iCloud is on, in your iCloud (Apple). We have no access to it.
- Notifications: prayer reminders are scheduled on your device, with no server.
- Quran and supplication audio: recitations are streamed from our storage (Cloudflare) or, as a fallback, from everyayah.com; some supplications from hisnmuslim.com. These services receive your IP address, as with any web page, and nothing else about you.
- Advertising (free version): the app shows Google AdMob ads. No ads are shown on the first day. After that, in the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a form asks for your consent before any personalised ad; if you decline, ads stay non-personalised. The app does not use the device's advertising identifier and does not track you across apps or websites. Google processes the IP address (for approximate location), device model and ad interactions. You can change your choice in Settings › Privacy. With Premium, no ads are shown.
- In-app purchases: handled by Apple. We never receive your payment details.
- Support: your e-mail address and messages, only if you write to us.
We do not sell your data.
Why, and on what basis
- To run the app and your purchases (performance of a contract).
- To show personalised ads (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time) or non-personalised ads (legitimate interest in funding the free app).
- To answer your requests (legitimate interest) and meet our legal obligations.
Service providers
Apple (iCloud, maps, App Store), Google (AdMob, ad consent), Cloudflare (recitation delivery), everyayah.com and hisnmuslim.com (audio files). Data may be processed outside the European Union, with the safeguards required by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses, EU–US Data Privacy Framework).
Retention
Your settings and reading stay on your device and in your iCloud for as long as you keep them. Advertising data: according to Google's policy (policies.google.com/technologies/ads). Support messages: 3 years after the last exchange.
Children
The app is rated 4+. It does not ask for age; ads are personalised only with consent. In-app purchases must be made or approved by an adult.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability: write to us at intergoldex@gmail.com. Deleting the app erases the data on the device; the iCloud copy can be deleted in Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage. You can also complain to the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
